I don’t know if it’s because I’m older (65) but I do get the impression that the elderly have no perceived value in society except to finance younger generations by their death, if at least reduce the cost to society by their death if they have no wealth. I suspect the poorer elderly will be coerced into assisted suicide and everyone will turn a blind eye. You’ve got to watch out for slippery slopes as you get older!
